updated version????

Howdy! I am just starting back to work after 2 years of being a work at home mother and desperately need a new calendar. I love this format but dont have Acrobat so I cant change it to update for the current year. Can you make an update or give me an idea how to go about it? I just love the format. Another option could be a fill in the dates yourself but I love the Bella font.

Astrobrights passed the Fountain Pen Test...

with flying colors !! Pun intended !
I used a Pilot Petit1 and an Ohto Tasche, and now that I put some effort into remembering, I used to use this paper for calligraphy with dip-type pens. It takes ink great with no feathering unless you have a very wet, sloppy pen.

Astrobrights is available in 24 Writing/60 lb. Text and 65 and 80 lb. cover. It's available in all the major office supply places.

Use the cover weight for dividers.
Wausau Papers

I use Wausau cardstock for my planner needs and custom index cards. I've never had any complaints. Astrobrights are nice intense colors. Very nice compared to the dull pastels of cheap 20# colored copy paper.

Shaded single color

That's exactly what I meant. The same effect you could get by changing your printer settings to monochromatic.

...with a link to the messages if possible -- I'll search and holler if I find it first :)
Also, what kind of printer do you have ? Or were you using a generic driver to get that effect ?

(edit) FOUND IT !! And the printers in question are Canon !! Joy !! I have Canons !!
Ygor's idea

A few months ago, ygor mentioned using the printer drivers to create color. If you have a color printer, you should have some kind of color effects. I like to print using blue or cyan, or green. What's cool is that solid blacks are still solid black, but the shades of grey come out in shades of blue or green. I believe I have some pics on my flickr stream of some pocketmods I did this way. Let's see if I can find them...

I have some Astrobright

Astrobright stock. It's 24 lb text stock. It works great in the printer. I'll have to try the fountain pens. This stuff is available in any Staples/Office Depot
I do that too!

I use a different color for each month (e.g. pastels for spring, fall hues for this time of the year). I'm circa-fied, though, and I've had a hard time finding colored paper in a heavier weight (24-28 lb preferably). It didn't matter when I used 3 and 7 ring planners.
Color is nice...but colored paper is also good

We can get pretty good results using colored paper, tho. I print my calendar on white for maximum legibility and use blue for reference pages, bright yellow for lists and notes, and pink for other miscellaneous things. Am thinking of getting a ream of paper with mixed pastel colors and getting it cut down, using maybe one color for my contact pages, etc.

Also, am getting some stamps for holidays, birthdays, etc and going to color them in just for fun so the calendar pages will be more fun.

I'm considering a single color choice

Where the current apps do everything in shades of black (grey), the added feature would be to do the page in shades of (Pick Your Color)

While I'm a Classic-sized monochromite myself (no fancy multicolor pages here), it would be great to have color choices. Printing your monthlies in a different color than weeklies or dailies would really make them jump out as you flip through the planner. Plus my wife's Compact planner would be happier in color...
