I've used the form on the manufacturer's site to ask if the pen can be repaired, or if it must be replaced (and if they're still being made). I think I'm out of luck -- today a google on Stypen Ergogel turns up this post as its first hit. :)

The manufacturer has new pens (whole new lines of pens in fact), but I was hoping to repair or replace my old pen rather than get a new one. Also, going to my favorite pen store is always an expensive venture. :)

Thanks for the help.

I Googled up one ...

Link

But it is a seven year old link, so I would not count on it.

The manufacturer is in France. You might consider contacting them.

Good luck
Stypen Ergogel grip is ... icky

The pen is about 5 years old, ad it's one of my favourites. TO see a good picture, check this link out.

The grip on mine is yellow, and it looks like the rubber is disintegrating. Bits are peeling away from the top and bottom of the grip and it feels very sticky to the touch.

I lost the pen for about a month. It got lost in the bottom of my pencil case and it's been a very humid summer here in Montreal.

The rubber doesn't come off (at least it's not supposed to); and when I push on its edges, it malforms.

I will (eventually) bring it into my favourite pen shop -- but does anyone know of a similar pen for sale somewhere? A google failed me.
