What's the meaning of them? Thank you very much!

in such a case...

.... it is always wise to download again. First trash the files you downloaded, and download from this site again. it is always possible that the file got corrupted during download, or, more likely, didn't complete, but the browser thought it did, thus producing a corrupt file, so a second download will not hurt you. This time, compare the predicted file size (stated size) with the final result to be sure you got the whole thing.

Hello,
When I download the 4 up version I cannot open the files with the latest version of Adobe. Adobe thinks that they are corrupt. Any suggestions?

Marta, if you look up above, you will find a couple posts after my first offer, that I provide a link to another post on this site, with the template you are looking for. I just checked the link, and it's good. Unfortunately, I can no longer find the file on my computer. I guess I deleted it after it got posted here. Sorry--but at least it's still available.

They are daily pages, but start with the same year-on-one-page as page one to get the rest of the pages facing properly. I will copy your document into the list. Thanks to both of you.

have cooperated on getting up something for these guys--a year at a glance calendar. JJ's got it up at this node:
LINK

It's not approved yet, so if you aren't allowed to view it yet, just wait.... It'll be up sooner or later.

ygor.... If you wish, please feel free to move that to your pre-done pdfs. We used your dynamic template maker to do this. So, if you want to move the file to your page, please feel free to move it, and delete JJ's post.

I've used ygor's template software, and created two versions of the year at a glance hipster for you guys. I have a Sunday-begin and a Monday-begin hipster, both for 2008 and 2009. I dropped them all into one pdf file--just print the version you want. If you will use my contact tab to drop me an email, I can send them to you--I hope. Our internet has been absolutely abysmal these past few days, and I couldn't upload the pdf to this site... so we must try email, or posting onto a local server here in Krakow. But drop me a line, and we will figure something out.

Forgive me if I've overlooked the answer but is there going to be an 08 update to the hipster templates? (even just the calendar) I love the dynamic templates but can not get them to work in 3x5 plus I prefer the official versions for the various formats.

one year one page 3x5

I don't see one of these dynamic programs (which are quite nifty) which render a single year on a single page in a way that it will print nicely and neatly on a 3x5 card. Perhaps it is my dimness which scares intelligent life away from the planet, but I am willing to be enlightened.

D*I*Y Planner Hipster PDA Edition

Welcome to the D*I*Y Planner Hipster PDA Edition 3.0, a series of approximately one hundred free productivity forms designed for printing onto index cards (a.k.a., the Hipster PDA). Designed especially for the D*I*Y Planner project by Douglas Johnston, the package includes a wide array of cards covering life management, project planning, calendars, notetaking, business development, and creative uses like writing, storyboards, mind mapping, and photography.

These are a subset of our regular D*I*Y Planner forms, completely re-designed for the smaller size, and may be used in conjunction with a full-sized planner, alongside a notebook like a Moleskine, or as a stand-alone system. Although chiefly inspired by David Allen's Getting Things Done, an emphasis has been placed upon tweakability, multiple methodologies, and tinkering (endlessly!) with ideas.

The package includes:

A series of graphical and photographic covers, including folding versions (with an optional envelope), and an OpenOffice.org template to create your own.

A Getting Things Done Quick Reference Card, including a flow chart, a weekly review list, and a list of "Stuff". (The "Getting Things Done" card is obviously based upon the excellent book of the same name by David Allen, and is therefore © David Allen). For PERSONAL, non-commercial use only, please.

Yearly calendars for 2006 and 2007, in both Sunday-Saturday and Monday-Sunday configurations. (Yes, your pleas were heard!)

Many different variations on the monthly calendar, both horizontal and vertical, as well as several one- and two-card weekly calendars.

The Day Keeper, a daily time management form, with multiple timed and untimed versions (some including actions and notes).

Actions, Waiting For, Agenda(s), Potential Projects (that's Someday/Maybe for GTD folks), To-Do Lists, and other task management templates, including several tabbed versions you can punch and include in a larger planner.

Several "top-down" life and project management forms, including Harmony, Project, and Priority Matrix.

Many multi-use templates, including Checklist, Table, Notes (four types), and Weekly Tracker.

A number of business-oriented forms, including Finances, Job Tracker, Product Idea, and Solutions.

Several flavours of the Matrix, a form for writing or tracking tabular data -- exercise/fitness logs, calorie counting, grades, borrowed library books, budget items, etc..

Templates for Contacts, Contact Logs, and Important Numbers.

A series of cards to unleash your creative side -- Story Idea, Plot Point, Character, Item, Story Board(s), Mind Map, a pocket Photographic Release, and more.

A set of handy tabbed cards, including an OOo template to contruct your own. (The folding cover also has an optional extension to protect tabs.)

Sundry other forms, including Book Note, Shopping, blank lines/grids, and more.

Tired of explaining the Hipster PDA to people and jotting down the 43 Folders and DIYPlanner.com websites? Well, pass along "The Helpful Hipster PDA Reference Card". ;-)

The button below will allow you to use a credit card or PayPal account to send us whatever sum you think appropriate for the product; we appreciate all support, no matter how much or how little.

Downloads

This edition is available in three different packages: please read the descriptions to determine which one is best for you. To help conserve our valuable bandwidth, we ask that you only download what you need.

1-Up Version (3.0 Mb)

This PDF package is for printing directly onto index cards. You will need the correct size of card stock (3x5"), as well as a printer that can handle 1/8 inch margins. (Many printers only have 1/4 inch margins, and will clip the edges of the forms.)

4-Up Version (5.0 Mb)

This PDF package is for printing four adjacent cards onto regular letter-size or A4 card stock, then cut using a guillotine, trimmer, or scissors. If you can't print onto regular index cards without clipping, this is probably your best option. (This is the package the designer personally uses, and it's fast and easy with a decent guillotine.)

Graphics Version (3.3 Mb)

This package contains all regular size templates as graphic files (PNGs and JPEGs). Choose this version if you want to use your own layout program, if you want to modify the forms in any way (including changing colours, margins or text), if you want to use your own preforated forms, or if you experience problems using the above PDF files with your printer. The graphics may be modified in any standard graphics application, like Photoshop or The Gimp (which is free), and layout can be done in OpenOffice.org Draw (free), Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Publisher, CorelDRAW, or any other publishing program.

Note: This package has a number of non-dated calendar pages as well as the 2007 dated, but if you want new dated calendars, please see ygor's amazing Dynamic D*I*Y Planner Templates for the ability to generate your own with multiple page sizes, margins and date ranges.

Please take the time to view the Hipster PDA Read Me, and see the Frequently Asked Questions if you experience any issues. (These are currently being updated.) The packages are released under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial No-Derivatives license, which means that they are free for personal and non-commercial use. "Getting Things Done" and its related concepts are copyright David Allen, All Rights Reserved.

Many thanks go out to: all the D*I*Y Planner users who have provided valuable feedback over the past two years; to the DIYPlanner-Dev Google Group for all the testing and suggestions; to the supremely useful Timothy W. Foreman for providing the OOo templates on incredibly short notice; to Robert Lynch for the beautiful pen; to David Allen and company, who have not only provided inspiration (the D*I*Y Planner project was first designed to implement GTD), but have shown themselves to be exceeding helpful and supportive; and of course, to the uber-productivity mavens of the 43 Folders Google Group (including the Mann himself), whose advice and alternating moments of insanity and lucidity have been a font of endless ideas. Finally, this wouldn't have been possible without the love and support of my wife Jennifer Pohl and little Conor, whose smile wipes all worry away.

(Remember to bookmark this page with del.ico.us to stay in tune with future versions.)
