4x6 index binders

I just found some 4x6 index binders in the seasonal back to school supplies section at Walmart.

It is made by the same manufacturer as the 3x5 index binder that I recently enlarged and covered with duct tape, but in addition to being a little wider it also has a snap closure.

The only drawback for anyone interested in using it for quarter size pages (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) is that it is probably still be a little narrow. You might be able to expand it without interfering with the snap closure if you used a narrow width of duct tape rather than using something like cardboard or the poly vinyl material I used.

I checked their web site to see if I could find a link but I had no luck.

If I remember correctly they were only $2.88.

I found these at a larger store (not a Super Store but larger than average); however, they were not at the smaller Walmart near me.

What style / design are they ?

Like the Oxford Poly Index Card Binder or like the Mead RingDex Card Binder

ygor, They are like the

ygor,

They are like the Oxford binder. The rings are fixed to the plastic spine connecting the front and back cover which, in my mind, is what makes it useful as an organizer, since the materials are more secure than they would be in a RingDex.

The poly material might be a little flimsier than Oxford's but there is a clear slip pocket on the left inside cover. Also, as I mentioned already, it has a closure on the right; you can snap the back to the front. The only drawback is that it isn't quite wide enough if you are using quarter sized pages.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a 4x6 index binder before but if I have it hasn't been for a long while. I have tried hunting for them online with no success. If anyone thinks they might want one someday I'd pick it up now if they can find it at their local Walmart.

I found them

at Wal-Mart.
Did not buy one, but I did see that the punched holes are the same spacing as the 3x5 Oxford binder - which is the same as a standard 3-hole punch
