Suggestion . . . . an equivalency table for various brands of binder formats, and perhaps a links directory . . .

Hi, I'm new here, and am very excited (and impressed) by your site and templates. Because I'm modifying two existing planner binders, I thought perhaps others could relate to my recent frustration attempting to find accesssories such as dividers, credit card holders, and the like for my two binders (two different sizes, one a Franklin 8-1/2" by 5-1/2", and the other a "Mundex" 4-1/4"x6-3/4", turns out to be same size as Franklin portable (or, nearly the same size)). I was concerned about whether the refills for Daytimer, Franklin, or Dayrunner would fit my binders - we're kind of in the "between time", with stocks for these items quite low at retail brick and mortar stores. It has been difficult to find the credit card pages, but I finally had some success at the Daytimer site, largely because they have a chat option, and I was able to talk with a live person. She was uncertain what I meant by Covey, so I needed to clarify.

So, what do you think? Would a table of equivalents, listing page sizes and ring numbers and measurements be helpful? It may take a bit of time to assemble, as various participants contribute information to put it together, but I think it might save many of us a lot of time, so we aren't all tumbling around a bunch of websites for this information.

Perhaps this already exists - I just haven't found it yet.

By the way, have you ever seen a worse website than the DayRunner site? Aargh!

Thanks for reading my post, hope you don't mind my jumping in with suggestions on my first day.

Oh, and, please comment on the possibility of a useful links section, or, more likely, please direct me to the existing section, which has also eluded me.

The Hole Story...

Hi Vicki,

What a great idea, there has already been some confusion between 'Personal' and Compact' sizes and no one has mentioned the mysteriously named 'Bible size' of Japan... Yet. (about 1/4" [5 mm] shorter than 'Personal'.)

Not at all Viki. D*I*Y is a very friendly community... Unless you have a shoe fetish; then we will be forced to eat you. ;)

Useful links section? Hmmm, I think that would be really useful. Have you seen our Handbook?

Excellent Idea!
