removing planner spines

Does anyone know how to remove the spine of a personal size 6-ring planner? I'm not so handy but could probably pull this off with some guidance. The planner itself is not expensive, but I'd still like to avoid messing it up, if possible. And if it works, then it will open up a whole new world of customized planning possibilities. I'm so psyched!

Thank you in advance for any suggestions/websites you can think of :)

Should be easy

I have Franklin planners with rings held in by bolts.
Others are riveted, requiring a drill.
I can try to help if I know what you want to do with it.
