Bloglines Question

Good afternon ~

I use Bloglines to keep track of various RSS feeds relating to GTD and such.

I "subscribed" to the DIY Planner forum using the Bloglines Icon but I only seem to get information from the main page and not the various forums. I tried subscribing from each Forum page but it gives me a "already subscribed" message when I try.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I'm not adverse to changing to a different blog reader as long as it is Web based.

Along this line ... is there a way for DIY Planner to email a digest of new entries like some of the Yahoo type forums do or a service that does this?

Thank you!

Problems with Bloglines

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I suspect that part of the problem is that you're using the "Syndicate" block on the right; that XML icon takes you to the feed for the main page. We should hide it on the other pages.

To subscribe to the category feeds, You need to use the feed that the categories expose. To get to them, Either use the "subscribe to feed" links in the Template Categories page, Or click a category (they appear to the right of the "Submitted by" information at the top of each post), and use the XML icon at the bottom of the category page. If you're using the Bloglines toolkit for Firefox, you want to right-click on that icon and choose "Subscribe to Link." I was able to subscribe to several different categories here using that method.

Please have a look at the Feeds How-To and let me know how I can improve that document. Either comment over there or use my contact form to shoot me an email.

All that being said, we are definitely having problems with Bloglines keeping our feeds up-to-date, and I've been in contact with them to try to see what's going on. The desktop aggregators that I've tried are working flawlessly, but lots of people (myself included) are very attached to Bloglines.
