Zebra Pens

I have been on the lookout for a good fine-tipped pen (for everyday writing--like into one's planner--I find that a fine tip is necessary to keep things neat) and have had a Zebra Ballpoint F-301 come into my posession. Does anyone have any experience with this brand of pen? Today's my first day of using it and I do think I like it...

I like them, but...

I seem to recall that, years ago, while in college, my now-wife used to love them as a student, but that she replaced them all too frequently due to the plastic breaking off where it meets the metal. She went through tons of them, but liked their writing enough to keep paying for them. For myself, I always stuck my pens in my Daytimer in my back pocket. No way one of those would survive there. ;-) I used Cross pens--all metal.

But I suppose that if you keep it in a binder, and out of your pocket, you will be ok.

All-metal Zebra

The Zebra Extendz telescoping pen is all metal and uses the same refills as the 301. I love mine. I keep it in my FC task list wallet in my back pocket for note taking...

really?

Breaking where the plastic meets the metal? That never even crossed my mind! The plastic part is where the fingers grip the pen, so I guess I'll have to watch my grip (which might be hard...those "exciting" history papers can really get one's passions going~:o). I'll try to keep the pen safely in my binder as well. Thanks for mentioning it.
