Douglas Adams on "Twig Technology"

The recent discussions about quotes, particularly Douglas Adams quotes reminded me that I have his book "Last Chance To See". Someone had complained that the function to request books from different libraries wasn't working, so I went and requested the only Douglas Adams book the library has that I haven't read yet as a test.

I'm only a few pages in, but I already found a bit I felt worth sharing on page 8. A theme running through the first chapter is most technology is based on twigs to some extent. "It consisted of a lot of twigs mashed up into a pulp , flattened out into sheets, and then held together with something that previously held a cow together. I took my Filofax outside and flipped through it..."
