SAHM wants Franklin Covey planner club!

I live in a small town and would like to start a planner group. . . where we meet once a month and share planner ideas and successes. Kind of a show and tell. (My teenage daughter thinks I am crazy)

Do you think it is possible to find others who would like to do this? My town is only 40,000 people.

How would I go about finding others who might like to do this?

I use my planner to run a busy household and my planner gives me a good feeling every time I look at it.

I would love more ideas for it though. I know I am not using it to the fullest.

Thank you!

a couple ideas

Posting on this site is a good start for sure... You may want to check out meetup.com (anyone know of similar sites that are better?) Not sure how much luck you'll have with that in a town of 40,000 though.

You may also want to check and see if you can post a meeting notice at the public library. It seems like a lot of people that would be into planners would be frequent visitors to the library. Who knows, they may even want to host such a meeting!

Library

That is so funny you say that because I am a frequent visitor to the library too!

Cool that you made that association.

I think a DIY-Planner Club would be better

Less expensive
More flexible

planners

I am open to any kind of planners. In fact the more variety, the more fun for me!

perhaps...

With Doug's permission of course... you could introduce people to DIYPlanner.com and have meetings at your local library. Organization and productivity are big right now... I think because technology hasn't solved all the woes... and paper is making a big return. I would much rather curl up with a nice cup of tea on a comfy chair to read a book than stare at the computer screen :)

Keep us posted on your progress with this idea :) I'm very intrigued.

Cardinal Fang !! Fetch ... the Comfy Chair !!

That's where I will probably be all weekend with the last Harry Potter book. Either that or snogging with the missus

TMI!

Keep it over there, Snogman!

Did I miss something?

Why would Doug's permission be needed for this? I'm not being snotty - I just don't know. TIA for 'splaining. :-)

If the DIYPlanner stuff were used...

Just thought it would be polite and I believe as part of his copyright thing... he is supposed to be alerted to usage of his material in a larger scale ...? Not sure if its manditory... I would have to reread the terms.

local library idea - sounds great! doug?

Sounds like a great idea, but there is one issue, organizing a 'basic' format that is user friendly for the rare few who are not as obsessed as us AND working with suppliers, so that this is not a costly endeavor. I live in a small town, also, but given the huge income disparity, those of us that need planners, are not on the high end of this disparity. If Staples were smart...they might consider taking on this similar to back to school displays and special goodie bags they give to teachers, etc...While they have good supplies, their site lags and could post templates, etc... as its competitors do!
