same hole positions 8.5 x 5.5: Franklin Covey "classic" vs Day-Timer "desk" ?

Can anyone verify that the 8.5 by 5.5 from Day-Timer and Franklin Covey have the holes in the same positions?

I have a 7-hole binder and punch from Franklin Covey. I generally pick up inexpensive Mead or National 3-hole filler paper.

I am not happy with the FC punch because the bottom doesn't come off for easily cleaning out the punched circles.

I think I might order the Day-Timer punch if the holes are positioned the same as FC.

Incidentally, a few days ago I bought office depot's own brand of filler paper, 7-hole punched, size 8.5 x 5.5, college ruled, and the holes were not quite lined up to the FC classic binder rings. I had to use a single-hole punch to adjust or "enlarge downwards" six of the seven holes.

Yes, DT and FC match

I used to use FranklinCovey "classic" pages in a Day-Timer "desk" leather planner.

Do you procrastinate?

Thank you.

Appreciate the confirmation.

re: I've heard of problems

I've heard from several people that the two systems do not match up properly. Office Depot no longer carries Covey's punch in their stores because of this. (At least, that's what I was told by one of their workers).

I purchased Day-Timers' 7-hole punch and have had no problems with it. The holes line up good for my Day Timer or my inexpensive Day runner planner that my son now uses.
