that IS simply irrestible!

$40 for what looks like well over $40 of stuff AND a $40 gift card for Circa products?!?!! That is an awesome deal! I saw they have some other gift packs on their site but this one is definitely the best deal I've ever seen from Levenger.

This may be a good time to mention to those who already are hooked on the system, have a hole punch and just want more covers: the Junior & Compact size 2007 Circa agendas are still available for $2.95 each.

RYAN, is this Simply Irrestible deal going to be around (with the gift card) for a while? I'm going to the Ohio Pen Show this week - I think that's going to suck up any available spending money I have. But this pack would make a great Christmas purchase.

already sold out but not gone

crazy this sold out within the hour of hitting the site. they say they will have more next week. but this is really one of those things, i dont know how long this will be up.

if you call the number you can order it and they will ship it when it comes back in stock next week.

Levenger stole ALL of my money, but they left me all these nice, shiny organizational tools.

because i slept all day

and now cant sleep, so i did some math. (lesson of the night: don't spend all day sleeping, even if it is your day off, because then at night you will have a hard time sleeping)

for each it is $32 in circa stuff plus 52 sheets (around $5 value) plus a $40 gift card. making the cost of the set just $3!!!

no wonder they sold out within the hour. i wonder if the lines flashed all red with lots of ringing the minute it hit the site :) :D.

Still there?

Still is listed on the site. Says Call for Availability. I just may. It fits some of my needs to finish my planner... And basically free! At least in exchange for more circa.

but it is shipping

odd mine is shipping on monday. i think the call for availability IS because the are out but that they get them in often and dont want a few people to buy up all the stock.

edit: 11-06-07 its not shipping after all.

Respose to suggestions

The Simply Irresistible sampler reminds me a lot of what people were suggesting on an earlier thread - a better intro to circa than the size based starter kits, one that would let you see a bit more of the possibilities of the system. (sorry -would have linked to the earlier conversation but can't find it now!)

A great idea and such a deal!

I got...

THREE of them! I thought, "What great Christmas gifts these would make!" One for hubby and the others will go to some lucky soul in the family. (Minus the gift cards and the compact size to do sheets!!)

$40 time limit

What's the expiration date on the gift certificate?

Expiration date is...

I asked Levenger that question, and they replied that:

Gift Card for online orders must be used by May 31, 2008.
Gift Card for in-store orders must be used by February 29, 2008.

So, not forever...

Starter Kit 2.0

"The Simply Irresistible sampler reminds me a lot of what people were suggesting on an earlier thread"

Defining a distinction between sampler and starter kits steered a number of ideas around Kits 2.0. I would be interested to learn more about the kind of notebooks that are built from this kit.

Thanks,

Question About Covers

Ryan,

Does the Simply Irresistable Sampler have just one cover? That's what it says in the description. Wouldn't your notebook be missing a back then?

Thanks!

Sharon

Decided on Junior Size

I considered getting this but I have no use for the 8.5 x 11 size, so it would be a waste of paper for me. I've always used ~5.5 x 8.5 because the size is nice for me. I'm using a Myndology Journal right now and I just ordered two Circa Samplers in Junior for me and my brother (we're both IT guys) to try. I turned him on to GTD and he's spreading the word at his work :^) I'll try the Circa and see how it goes. I hope they work out because I'm drooling over the Circa Jackets. Still waiting for the shipment confirmation....

Could you buy one...

and then use the gift card to buy another ?

Then use the gift card from that one to buy yet another ?

Is there a link to the Simplicity set?

simple

Thank you

I was looking under 'sale'.

Thanks.

got mine in yesternday!!

and it is awesome.

I took it to work today to show customers and i think I have a few converts!!

but ryan, here is the thing:
neither one of my gift packs included the junior size zip pocket.

i already used one gift card and am saving the other for something cool.

there is news that new products will be out this week and everyone knows about them but me :(

I got mine too!

I ordered 3, scalped the gift cards! Has anyone noticed that the punches are now backordered until January?! Anyway, that is what I used one of my gift cards for. I will just have to wait to punch paper at home.

I used the second one to get ANOTHER Sampler. :-)

I am giving my first 3 away as gifts and will do something like keep the one I just ordered for myself.

When I was in DC and went to the Tyson's Corner store, I got some MicroPDAs which I am now using to record little things the kids say or do that I want to remember.

Steph

did yours have

did yours have the junior zip pockets?

Checking on the missing Jr zip pocket

I will check and see!

Did you hear anyting?

Did you hear anything about the AWOL Jr Zipper? That's a bummer. I may spring for this one after Christmas.

Jason

missing zip

I hadn't noticed until reading this thread, but my junior zip is also missing. Has anyone contacted Levenger?
susan

Junior zip

I checked the wraparound that the stuff came in and it doesn't mention a jr zip. So I bet that the online description may be incorrect.

Doesn't matter...

If they've included it on any public list, I believe they are legally bound to honor it.

Jr. Zip Pocket is definitely

Jr. Zip Pocket is definitely listed as part of this package in the paper catalog I received late last week.

And it's defintely not in the catalog I have

The Christmas/holiday catalog (the one with the snow on the cover) does not list the Jr. Zip Pocket. I think someone changed their mind about the contents of this offer mid-stream and didn't communicate it well enough to the copywriters.

Well, I first heard about

Well, I first heard about the Circa Simply Irresistible Sampling Kit with the free $40 gift card from this thread here on DIYPlanner, and I just received the "official" email from Levenger about it.

Here's the first part of a note from inside the email:

"Being a member of our Preferred Customer E-List means you're the first to see our new merchandise, hear about sales and enjoy special offers."

All I can say is HA!

(Sorry, Captain Levenger)

Scheduled?

Their emails seem to have some schedule to them. I frequently hear folks mention deals in email here, only to get them a few days later. I chalk it up to other's relationship and buying habits. I don't buy much, and am only a recent customer.

Make sense?

Jason

Mine is in and I'm already dreaming of more goodies

I was a bit behind the ordering curve -- mine came in yesterday via FedEx.

My package didn't have the jr zip either, but I was blessed with 6 additional 3x5s and 17 additional ruled white sheets, letter-sized.

I will say this for the set: it makes me want to branch out into the other sizes! I've been using a Jr Agenda for several months; now I wonder if maybe a compact agenda wouldn't be sufficient for my needs. Or maybe going to letter size wouldn't make it that much more cumbersome to carry. Or maybe due a letter-sized "home base" with either a junior or compact for every day carrying.

I'm already thinking about what I'll spend my gift card on.
+page finder if I decide on a size other than letter
+sheet protectors
+business card holder
+maybe a starter kit or a sampler pack for more playing around

I've already ordered a punch so that I can see if I want to go the DIY route. I love the thought, I just don't know how I'd do in practice.

I was wondering if the gift

I was wondering if the gift cards can be used together? I have tried to put in multiple cards and I am not able to.

No Multiple Levenger Cards Online

Sorry, Stephanie, I was unsuccessful, too. Customer service informed me (via email) that we have to order through their phone center to be able to use more than one gift card on one order. Just a small annoyance, really.

However, do make sure that they repeat your order -- and your address -- back to you before you end the call. I had some trouble with that!

Cheers!

out of stock again?

I have been waiting for a kit to ship that I had ordered friday. It is now wednesday and not shipped but when I put another one in my cart it says "call for availability". I wonder if they are going to cancel my order or place it on hold. Anyone else having this problem?

Yep

Same issue - with starter kits.

Did you hear anything from

Did you hear anything from Levenger yet?

Too much of everything [I love] is just enough.
~Calvin & Hobbes

Yeah sorry, should have updated my post!

My starter kits shipped Friday after all.

simply rresistable kit

I sill see that it is marked as "call for availability" which I was told means they have none in stock at the moment. This is the strange thing, I placed a recent order and put one on it thinking that I would save on shipping and get it when it is back in stock. When I put in a 20% off code it applies the discount to all but the kit. Have they restricted the kit from the 20% off or is it just because it is not available at this time?

kit and discount

I used the 20% code on the simply irresistible kit a few months ago and it worked.

But maybe they closed the loophole: the kit and shipping came to $39... and included a $40 gift card.

Shipping costs?

i wonder, how much do u guys usually pay for shipping one letter size circa, 300 sheets of ruled paper and 22 extra large discs?

i live in hong kong and shipping via fedex is their only option for me. the total of my order came to about $14X but the shipping is $137.XX.

i cant buy circa elsewhere and not even on eBay, since they dun usually have the stuff i want. so i am wondering if i should proceed with my order after all. but that'd be almost $300. and i'd rather spend the money on the modular system on renaissance art i've always wanted.

Other systems?

I'm waiting on quote for shipping to the UK as I'm kind of being tempted to try the system. However for us non US residents there are maybe a couple of options I can see.

Have you looked at Atoma for availability? Because it's European your shipping rates might be cheaper - let's face it shipping from anywhere is cheaper than from the states!

Or should you buy a punch and some discs only and get good quality paper from somewhere more local cut to size, use diy planner templates to print pages if you need that. That might be cheaper in the long run and leave you more money for some of the beautiful reaissance art products. Might only save longer term but paper is heavy so best to get that locally and only purchase what you cant get elsewhere from Levenger

suggestion

If you have a friend here in the states you should see if they mind having it shipped to them. They can repack it into a USPS flat rate global priority mailing box and send it for about $40 (if everything fits in the larger flat rate box). They have a couple different sized boxes, so depending on what you order, it may cost even less.
