hahaha!!!
I'm so lovin this...
I knew it..
I'm not odd...
Everyone else is!!!
*gigglez*
I'm so thrilled to have found you all...
I stumbled upon you all quite by accident researching my latest obsession...
oops, i mean, organizational tool,
the rolla notebook from Staples...
and then the Circa by Levenger *droolz*
Anyhoos...
I am a newbie..
both to this site,
and to the forum style of interaction,
Which i normally avoid in favor of im's...
Generally i enjoy reading occasionally...
but to respond...
well, i gotta say...
this is a first for me...
Just wanted to say hi to everyone...
Thrilled to have found you
*big grinz*

Welcome Empress_Ariel_Bara

And welcome home :) I don't think you'll find anybody trying to get rid of you here. I'm always amazed at how very different we all are, and yet we have so much about pencils, pens, paper, planners... in common.

See ya in the funny papers,
-kmorris

(ps, did you notice that your name is longer than most of your sentences? I'm more of an endless paragraph run-on sentences person myself - as you can see.)

TY for the warm welcome home...

**phew**
That's a relief...
That nobody will try to get rid of me...
*gigglez*
Yes all very different...
With a very common passion...
And it is wonderful...
To find people that i can share my passion with...
I've been blabberin about the Rolla Notebooks to everyone with ears lately...

Hahahaha...
I didn't notice that my name is longer than most of my sentences...
Too funny!
I did check the names b4 i created this one...
And i noticed that most were very short...
But then i wouldn't be me if i went along with the crowd...
*laughs*

I actually am guilty of the whole run-on paragraph/sentence myself...
I can still hear my teachers yelling at me...
hahaha
But i mostly got in the habit of breakin up the sentences because of my mentor...
He types uber fast...
And it is hard to keep up...
So if i put the ( ... )
Then he knows that i am not finished with my thought...
hehehe
I guess old habits die hard
*grins*
If it is annoying to read though i suppose i can make an effort to stop...
I don't like to intentionally annoy people...

"The early bird may get the worm, but the late rising worm lives."

no worries

It isn't annoying, its just...
you.
:)

-kmorris

Agreed - it is going to take some "getting used to"

and I could see it annoying easily. However, it adds variety to the group.

One question I have for The Empress: do you talk the way you type ? :)
Reminds me of the hyper little rabbit in a Bugs Bunny Cartoon, "Rabbit's Kin"

"I think the surest sign that there is intelligent life out there in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us." (Calvin and Hobbes/Bill Waterson)

Well, Variety is Nice Right?

Hahaha...
I don't have to do it.
I'll make an effort to stop.
I don't type that way in my Journal on my pc.
And I don't write that way in my written journals.

How odd! I love Bugs Bunny, but I only vagely recall that hyper little bunny!
I suppose I probably do talk like him.
I am extremely hyper and I do talk very fast and in huge bursts.
Now I'm gonna have to hunt down that little rabbit.
((laughs))

There is a running joke in the yahoo chatroom that I frequent.
Seems I remind everyone there of a squirrel from the movie "Over the Hedge".
I've never actually watched the movie, so I don't know if I should be insulted or not.
But from the way everyone laughs when the subject comes up, I'd imagine I should be.
*giggles*
It's all good though.
For some reason they get great joy out of picking on me.

"The early bird may get the worm, but the late rising worm lives."

Youtube to the rescue!

love Bugs Bunny, but I only vagely recall that hyper little bunny!

Ha! I found him on Youtube:

:-)

Kind of reminds me of Twitchy from "Hoodwinked".

Hammy the Squirrel

:D

I would not call it an insult, you may be flattered. They are probably jealous that they cannot recite the Gettysburg Address in 20 seconds flat.

Go rent the film. I think you will really enjoy the scene at the end when Hammy chugs a high-caffeine soda. I will say no more.

Yeah, I'm sorry, but put me

Yeah, I'm sorry, but put me in the group that's annoyed. I can't handle reading something with a bunch of ellipses for absolutely no reason - it makes it totally unreadable to me and too tedious to wade through.

Sorry to be harsh, but sentences exist for a reason! :)

Put me in a different group

Put me in a separate group: I can't read those posts either because of my dyslexia. The very unusual punctuation plays havoc with my understanding of the messages. Perhaps the style works in chat/IRC/MSN one-line messages (I never use those communications methods so I can't say) but in extended text it obfuscates what is being said. So I'm in the skipping group; I skip over any post that has unconventional punctuation or is at variance from normal English formatting.

Great Quote...

I've always said the early worm gets eaten by the bird!

Welcome!

Re: Great Quote...

That's really funny.
I had never even thought of it before.
Not till i found this quote on one of my many quote hunts.
I love quotes.
I use them mostly for my away message.
And signatures for emails and things.
There are quite a few here on this site that I intend to borrow.
((laughs))
Lately here, if I were a worm I'd live forever.
Gives a nice perspective shift when I am kicking myself for oversleeping.
*giggles*

"The early bird may get the worm, but the late rising worm lives."

Sleep...

Ariel,
Enjoy the pleasures of oversleeping while you can, young lady. All too soon teh responsibilities of work, kids, etc. will be dragging you out of bed all too early every day. :-D

Welcome!

I'm still a bit of a newbie myself, but welcome! It's a good feeling to know that you're not alone in a world full of office supply under-appreciaters.

And when i first saw your post I thought it was a poem because of the short sentences :-)

I'm usually an IMer too, but all my fun consists of making icons and avatars that look like me ;-)

Welcome!

Yes, you found the right people, and yes, we can sorta tell you're into IMing...even if you hadn't told us.

:)

But so what - we're all a bit different. And I tend to drift between long run-on sentences and shorter bits, too. Abd being a blogger, I tend to visually separate thoughts with extra spaces.

Thanks for the Welcome!

The "right people" indeedeth!!!
Is it really that evident that I'm into IM'in?
((laughs))
Flippin hilarious!!!

So you're a blogger huh?
I have a yahoo 360...
But i am not much of a blogger...
Which is kinda funny cuz most people expect that i would be...
Probably cuz i tend to be rather gabby in text...
**gigglez**

Amazing how the typing style is a bit like a fingerprint...
Everyone has a very distinct voice...
It is interesting to observe...

I do so look forward to getting to know all of you though...
I expect it will be great fun

Hello

Looking at the title, I was a bit afraid that you were one of those crazy merchants trying to use the site to sell shoes or handbags or something.

What a relief that you are just one of the asylum members.

Welcome.

ygor.. hello yourself!

((laughs))
I had wondered at the postings for shoes and handbags...
Seemed a bit out of place here, ya know!
Anyhoos...
Hello, nice to meetcha...
I am familiar with your name already...
You seem to be a huge poster in these here parts...
And I love your quote!
*winks*

"The early bird may get the worm, but the late rising worm lives."

Welcome!

I absolutely love how you type...
thought I would copy you and give it a try...
fun!

Anyway...
WELCOME TO THE SITE!
