Hello from France/UK

Hi everyone
I've been using the site for some time, so I thought it was time to join in and contribute a bit...

I'm English although we live in France and UK at different times of the year... hopefully in France more full time soon...

I've been a Filofax user since the mid 1980's but I've also dabbled with electronic PDAs... but recently had to go back to non-electronic diary and contacts because of a ban at work. So I decided to dig out my trusty Filofax. I've since bought an A5 size and a Pocketsize for carrying around.

These days I still tend to keep my main calendar and contacts in Outlook, and just print off pages to go in my A5 filofax.

I'm a keen photographer.. but more about that in another post...

Good to be involved
Regards
Steve

Greetings Steve. I also just

Greetings Steve. I also just joined, today in fact. Thought I would say hello.

I am from Scotland originally but live in NY now. But my plan (hope) is to retire to France one day. The Camargue is where I want to be!

Cool.

Banned From Work?

PDAs banned from Work. That's interesting. Working in product developement, I can understand banning PDAs and phones with cameras. But with all the Smartphones and PDAs I am interested in why they would ban PDAs?

Sounds like my work

In theory at my work we're allowed to have PDAs. We're just not allowed to connect anything to our work computers through a USB (so no memory sticks for us). And all personal equipment has to have bluetooth disabled before it's allowed in the building. Not just turned off - bluetooth actually disabled by removing the ability to do it.

It's to do with information security.

Cool.
