Great template

Tammy, I used Franklin/Covey for many years when it was just Franklin. I developed a deep appreciation for the layout of the 2 a day system. This is great and thanks for posting it. One thing that would make it better, for me, would be to flip the appointments and notes pages. My circa rings get in the way while I try to write sometimes. I'll try making a change while printing and see if that helps. But I wanted to congratulate you on a fine template.

New Version

Brent,
Not sure if you've checked out the new version.

or use them a bit more efficiently.

I grumbled elsewhere about my perception that this template seems wasteful of paper to me.

Well, I took a moment to look at it closer and I hold with my opinion, but I have a suggestion:

Turn the paper 90 degrees and you can then fit two pages per sheet.

How 'bout that ?

2 passes

I thought I stated this once, but you don't need to waste paper. You just send the paper through twice, same side up. I could get complicated, but it should work--twice up per side, then flip, and repeat.

I disagree. Look at these

A4-portrait.pdf
A4-landscape.pdf

I placed two 4.25" by 6.75" rectangles onto an A4 (no margin) page. In portrait, you can only get one per page. Rotate it, and you get two per page.

aha

I see it now. Just looking on the screen, you can print 2-up, but the margins (which aren't really visible) overlap. Hm. It works on 8.5x11, however. Even better, if one were _really_ creative, one could print 3-up on US letter! Two vertical, and one horizontal across the bottom. That would be fun! ;-)

As it is, A4 is not the most efficient way of printing this size--certainly not in portrait! Unless one was also willing to give up 1/8" on the inside margins, and cut to 4.125x6.75. I'm lazy enough to do that. ;-)

veeeeery interesting

I never considered the 3-up you describe.
The measurements are exact. The only "waste" would be a 4.25 by 1.75 inch "bookmark"

You can do that in 3 cuts to produce 3 sheets.

smart!

And wanna know how "smart" I am? I had envisioned centering the single page in the middle, thus requiring a cut at top and bottom! Duh.... BTW, I suspect that this size was chosen particularly because you can fit three on a sheet of US Letter. But woe to the person tring to impose such a layout for the press!!! ;-)

New version on it's way!

I've taken everyone's comments on board and have redesigned the pages. Hopefully you will like them.
Pages won't waste an ounce of paper! and I have flipped the pages around so the Appointments are on the left and Notes on the right, as I also found this much easier to write my notes/tasks.
I will post them shortly, just fine tuning.

Thanks again to everyone's comments.
