Ok, who's the wise guy?

My daily planning worksheet pad is missing. It still has yesterday's stuff on it and I cannot find it anywhere.

It's just weird. I leave it on my desk in front of my monitor. I don't move it. There's no reason to, since I sit at my desk most every day and if I need to take it, I take just that day's page.

I work from home, fergossake. It's not like a co-worker could come and steal it. It's hefty enough (it's a whole pad of paper!!!!) that it wouldn't just get picked up with a magazine or book, even if I had laid those down on my desk.

I've checked every drawer, cabinet and shelf in my entire office. It's driving me nuts!!!!

So what gives? Which of you gremlins absconded with my most effective productivity/time management tool? Huh? Ygor? Innowen? Doug?????.

And the moment I post

THe lightbulb goes off ... I was looking through my project management coursework yesterday for a contact number.

Lo and behold, it did get swept up with all of that stuff when I put it back in its magazine file. I saw it when I glanced up at the cabinet where, of course, it just couldn't be.

Well, mystery solved. I'm going to go put the baseball game on TV and finish up today's work.

(in my defense, there is a large pad of paper in that particular file, from the notes I took in one of my courses)

Project Management coursework

Hi Tootru,

Are you studying for your PMP? I just took the test and luckily passed! If that is what you are up to, good luck!

Steph

Yep, PMP

Congratulations!!!!!!

Yes, I am studying for the PMP.

I'll be taking one of the "bootcamp" courses in September, but I want to use my time this summer to study the PMBOK and all the stuff I got from the CAPM class I took a year ago.

I appreciate your well-wishes.

Used Circa extensively while studying

OK, so Circa came in VERY handy while studying for the PMP exam. I took a letter size notebook and got the white tab dividers and had one for each knowledge area. Also had a zip pocket for my PMBOK CD and some annotation post it note thingies.

I am suddenly curious how many project managers belong to this site.

Any other PMPs out there?

Steph

Would never do that. Ever.

(Ha!)

With my checkbook?

I haven't seen my checkbook since Saturday after looking in every conceivable spot. I hate that!Luckily with electronic banking you can keep an eye for an interloper finding it and having a spree. Although on my salary, they would not get far!

Ahem...

It's hefty enough (it's a whole pad of paper!!!!) that it wouldn't just get picked up with a magazine or book, even if I had laid those down on my desk.

You know, some journalist had a MacBook Air for review. His wife picked it up with the Sunday paper, and tossed it down the recycling chute.... I doubt your pad was heftier than that! And it seems that this is what happened to you too! ;-)

I read about that!

I wanted that MacBook Air ... until I found out about the loss. With the way I lose things, that would definitely happen to me.
