Why not record your month in doodles? Anything goes!

Doodle something in each box - share at the end of the month with other DIYPlanner fanatics!

Hello !, Ygor here. With Sara's kind permission, I am adding to this template. I whipped up an Open Office Drawing of the 7 by 5 grid of round-cornered rectangles. They are grouped into a single object. The neato-nifty thing you can do with this is draw to ANY size paper. Just open the document, set your paper and margin size, and then just resize the group of rectangles to fit your page.

nice job

I like the template! However, I am NOT liking my "doodles." I am just bad at it, but I think it is such a great idea, that I am going to do it this month and just see how bad it really is! ;)

ttfn, nay nay

Silly questions

Why A4 ?

Why does the third column of boxes have a dashed border ?

Why is this PDF over 6 megabytes ?

file size has been fixed - whooopsie. (i'm trying to sneak here during work lol - bad me!)

Baerbel sent me the original file. I changed it so you can use it for any month. Just ignore or perhaps even trace the boxes onto a separate piece of paper to match the month you are using it for. (i'm not sure what the dotted boxes were used to represent - I didn't ask.)

Enjoy the new version - :D... sorry for the ginormous file!

You should be able to shrink to fit or enlarge it to match any paper size - let the doodling begin!

Dotted is sunday

When you posted the link to the flickr example I was wondering what the dotted meant. And then I noticed that is a Sunday! I checked other months and same there.

She probably makes a new sheet every month to line up the Sundays.

Very observant! Thanks for the insight...

I'm planning on tracing the month squares I need onto another paper ... I have a lot of back-doodle-a-days to do lol.

And actually, this has been the busiest month of the year so far, and I only came up with about 10 days! UGH! I need inspiration!

8 days!

I got to 8 days and then realised my life was far too boring generally..... Okay I got lazy and once you miss a few days its hard to pick up again especially when you cant draw. Not sure how it'll photograph tho....

Perhaps we should have started out slow... with a week instead LOL... Can't wait to see yours too!

Try photographing with a "macro" setting on your camera in natural light... flash will usually washout any writing or drawing... :) I don't have a scanner at home so most of my artwork is photographed :D
