A Question of Terminology

In a few threads (three that I can find) the term "Bag Ho" was used.

Can a guy be a "Bag Ho" or would we have to come up with a male equivalent term ?

inquiring minds want to know :)

Why not?

I think a guy could be a bag ho. My husband's one. :)

Ok, proceeding with that assumption

"Bag Ho" is non-gender specific.

If there are any other opinions, please share.

Absolutely gender neutral!

Bag Ho better be gender-neutral -- half the guys in the university town where I live have man bags. Most of the stores have two "purse" sections, one near women's clothes and one in the middle of the men's section. The ones made for men are always made better and A LOT less expensive than the ones made for women.

No prob

I'm as much of a Bag Ho as any lady, but mine are practical as opposed to decorative.
I believe that distinction would also account for the cost and quality difference.
I'm planning several product reviews of bags

Stay tuned !

'men's' bags are better

I so agree the bags in men's sections are often better and sometimes cheaper. In the UK you can often find great rucksacks and man bags in TK Maxx. That's TJ Maxx in the US (dont know if there bag selection is as good there). The thing about this store is you need to rake about and men dont generally like doing that so the bargains are there for the taking.

Having said that my current favourite bag is a small Timbuk2 messenger bag which I picked up while on my holidays in Austin this year. They are a bit pricey but I intended to buy one (not easy to pick up in the UK though it is possible online at expensive prices). How pleased was I when the one I liked was on sale for $35! And exchange rate made it half that for me really. I've used it every day since. Great for my pens, notebooks, eee pc and lots of other stuff. The extra small size would have been good too but I had to draw the line.....for a short while anyway
