Hello and introduction

I discovered DIYPlanner last fall when I realized I had to change my planner system to something lighter and more portable for hiking around campus with my books and laptop (I teach at a big university in the South). I've really appreciated the tips I found here, especially the eureka moment when I realized I could keep something like the system I wanted (Planner Pads) but tweak it and reduce its footprint to make it more portable, using DIYPlanners. Thanks!

I currently use a version of the Planner Pad system in a Circa notebook. I only include the current week, and then the rest is a monthly view (2-per-page) for the next 6 months printed out from Now Up-to-Date, which I've been using forever on my Mac. I make changes on the paper version, circle them when I've transferred them to the digital calendar, and print out a new week/month set every Monday. With only this, my syllabi, and some notes pages, this is light and very portable. I think I've finally found the perfect blend of digital and paper for my life.

It's always wonderful to hear that someone has found the system to suit the way they live.
