Levenger Grid-It organizer - love it!

Like many people, I have lots of bits and pieces of electronics that I carry in my bag. I use a medium LL Bean tote bag which, every day, carries my macbook, several files, assorted electronic bits and pieces, a moleskine, my circafied diy organizer, and a Levenger portable punch. I had been using a large zip top plastic bag for the cords, adapters, etc. but that wasn't really working as well as I would have liked. I splurged and bought a large Grid-It organizer thingy from Levenger and have had it for two days now. I love this product! The elastic straps have a rubbery non-slip surface that really does hold your things in place. Today my Grid-It is holding the macbook power adapter, an ipod classic, the usb cable that connects the ipod to the macbook, a small external hard drive, the hard drive cable, a wireless mouse, and the punch part of a Levenger portable circa punch (the long piece sits alongside the files in the bag). Nothing has slipped out of the straps yet. I tried picking it up and swinging it around and nothing flew out (I tested it over the bed in case something went flying - don't want to send my ipod flying over a hard floor). I could slip a couple of jump drives in as well - there is room - but I have all of those on a leather cord I have tied around the bag handle.

Thanks!

I have been looking at getting one of these for my bag as it seems like a good concept. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it!!

I'll check it out

I'm typing this in the Apple Store @ Tysons, across from the Levenger Store. As soo as I get my sick DVD burner dealt with, I will toodle over and see.

Lucky you.

I love that section of that mall. I only get there about once a year though. Have fun at the Circa bar.

Color me unimpressed

Nice idea, but a bit too pricey for me.

The company that created the grid-it...

...has a pretty wide selection at http://www.cocooninnovations.com/. Enjoy.

grid-it, move-it

I've gotten so that I use this at home now when I move my laptop and accoutrements from one room to the next so I don't drop cords and stuff along the way. No more lost mouse batteries under the couch!
