I never saw it ..

at my local Target.

So, if they do, it must be at limited locations.

I haven't seen it in a few years

My local Target (Massachusetts) DID carry it briefly. I bought a combo-pack of letter and junior sized planners for about $9.95 on clearance. They weren't bad - the paper wasn't as nice as Levenger's, (but it was just fine), they came with pockets and dividers, and I actually like the covers. They're the plain stiff black plastic, not the fake leather ones carried by Staples. I still use them.

I've checked monthly-ish ever since and haven't seen it again.... :(

And then there's the Leed's garbage...

Rollabind tried selling thru the companies that make promotional stuff - you know, buy few hundred low quality, non-standard sized notebooks with your company logo on it. You see them all over eBay.

You touch on the reason why Rollabind no longer licenses its products, you loose control of the quality.

And You Know This How?

Actually Rollabind sold through Levengers, Staples and several other companies. These are companies that do not sell low quality non-standard notebooks.

And talk about SPAM, please come up with a new quote, you have used this one far too often.

Not a quote

It's called a 'signature'. It shows up in all of his posts.

Calvin and Hobbes/Bill Waterson

"Calvin and Hobbes" was with us for only ten short years. US-of-American comic strips are an original art form, and Waterson created one of the finest. I appreciate this remembrance.

retailers carrying Rollabind

Rollabind has limited distribution in Staples, 50 stores. Any other retailer carrying Rollabind products did not buy them directly from Rollabind.

Best bet is the check the web site.

Rollabind at Target

Rollabind does not sell directly to Target. Only Staples. To purchase the entire line go to

Do you work for Rollabind?

If so, we would love to welcome you to this board in that capacity, but it is nice to be up front with any affiliations.

Many of use would love to shop at the rollabind website -- we want the products. However, if you look at some of the archives here, we are afraid to. I'd love to hear that things have changed there.

edit: I just realized I used the word love _way_ too many times in this post. Must be spring.

Love your comment

I was wondering, does anyone

I was wondering, does anyone have a rollabind code so that a first-time customer can save 20% on their first online order? I've looked everywhere, and can't seem to find one.

He he he he.

Happy to report I am a part time consultant for Rollabind.

If you have any problems shopping at the Rollabind web site contact me and I will personally fix any problem.

I have looked at all the archives and again don't jump to conclusions without exploring all the information and both sides to the story. Yes Rollabind had service issues, but they have been resolved. One major service issue is manufacturing in China. It takes approximately 6 weeks to receive products from China after an order is placed.

When there is unexpected demand, then certain products go out of stock and there are shipping delays. This issue has been resolved with the policy that on any out of stock item the customer is contacted by email or phone and asked if they want to cancel that item or substitute a replacement item.

Currently anyone who calls 888-270-8478 before 5 PM East Coast time will see a resolution very quickly.

We are working on launching a new web site and hope to have it rolling next month. We will introduce a unique service where people can design their own custom notebooks on line.

If you have any suggestions for products or improvements please write to me, or post them on our Facebook page.

Communication is the key, better to be part of the solution then part of the problem.

New Rollabind punch?

Hello Alan. Levenger recently introduced a Circa/Rollabind punch with larger holes, which has proven popular and it is reported to be more useful than the original. Will Rollabind do the same in the future? I ask because generally Rollabind is cheaper than Levenger.

Larger Holes

Thanks for your note. We are not planning on increasing the size of the holes. We tested a design with larger holes but found the pages were not as secure. We think the current design works very well.

We did introduce a new portable inexpensive paper punch the PBS 100 Notebook Punch for $12.95. Check it out, (sorry for the plug)

Looks the same as the "Method Punch"

The photos are identical. I bought a couple of those from Leeds a little while ago, and it's not really worth it. See my original comment here: About the "Rollabind Method Punch"....

Note that it's all plastic, so the punching parts can dull if you put too much force on them. Which, well, you really need to do to get it to punch anything but thin paper.

I suggest the PBS 1000 punch with the discount coupon $47.96. The punching apparatus is made from metal and will last a long time. It will punch several sheets of paper.

Realize there are only slight variations between Circa and Rollabind products. Originally they were identical but to conform with legal requirement and produce their own line Circa had to manufacture products that were not identical to Rollabind's.

The big variation is price but certainly the Circa line provides excellent quality.

thanks but I welcome all comments and if I get some extra emails offering some fantastic opportunities for income from Nigeria or enhancement products, I don't mind! :)

You may welcome spam, but most here DO NOT

Without the filters in place, these forums would fill up with off-topic garbage about insurance, shoes, littler blue pills and gambling casinos.

You are being asked nicely to please stop.

Most do not

Well just trying to be open & honest.

Seems Democracy is an issue at DIY Planner - I thought the Internet was supposed to be a place of free flowing ideas - and perhaps that would satisfy Calvin & Hobbes! I was always happy with the First Amendment! Have a great weekend!

It's a website not a government

I've been using the internet since 1995, I've seen very few places of free flowing ideas. Almost every site and forum I prefer to visit is moderated to some degree, including this one (and rightfully so, some sense of order usually makes things more pleasant). I don't understand how 'Democracy' is even relevant here, we don't have officers or anything to vote for.

Glad to hear Rollabind is improving customer service

and happy to see someone from the company participating at this site. We had a Levenger staff person participate for a while and it was very nice to have someone who had seen ongoing comments/discussions step in and help occasionally. Let us know when the new web site is up and running.

Be careful if you order from Rollabind...I am still waiting on a product that I ordered in is now December. I just contacted them a few minutes ago and they said it would be another six weeks before they would have the product!! Aaargh!!!

Of course they already charged by credit card for the product.

Let me guess

you ordered a desk punch, right ?
