About Rollabind

Have you visited the Rollabind site recently? There is a short video of Martha Stewart endorsing the program. They seemed to have changed everything. So, I took a chance. I ordered some disks, and with shipping it was 7.99. I paid through Paypal. I ordered them last Tuesday and have not received a confirmation notice. I checked it out today on their website and they have no record on my account that I ordered anything. I doubt paypal will investigate for 7.99. I sent an email from their site to prove I had purchased the disks. That is the only way to contact them. Well, you can call them, but how many times have they put us the drill of lying, promising and not delivering? I believe people can change, maybe I am wrong.

Receiving orders from Rollabind

It takes forever to receive anything from them. I placed an order for 50 1 inch black disks and used my credit card, which was almost immediately charged. The order status never updated and after a week I sent them an email through the site. I kept getting one line responses - your order will ship this week. I finally received the order 3 weeks later - it just showed up and was mailed 2 days prior. I really want to order the punch if Staples isn't going to carry it, but I'm a little hesitant. I'm not really cool with charging my card and then not shipping for weeks.

For the price difference...

you might be better going with Levenger. I just ordered a barely used, still in box, Levenger punch for 44.00 including postage (and they are heavy). It is the old one, but I have had both and cannot tell the difference in function. Try ebay for Levenger punch.

As long as they keep getting

As long as they keep getting orders from people I doubt they will change. Especially if many just give up on trying to get a refund or the product that was paid for.

Perhaps you could contact AlanS, the Rollabind rep...

Or, you may have better luck posting about your experince on their Facebook page.

Good Luck !

That FaceBook page is nothing but brainless positive comments.
You will notice AlanS has not been around much since we discovered his astroturfing.

I know. I was being

I know. I was being sarcastic with those last two comments.

The video is horrible. It looks like it was recorded on an EP video cassette. I swear there are 'tracking' lines at the top.

I've been to two Staples stores and both have Rolla products on clearance (but no Arc product yet). The licenseing revenue from Levenger is gone and Staples has started their own line; I wouldn't be surprised if Rollabind goes under.

I have all three

Levenger, Rollabind, and now Arc. Ordered Arc online and received it the next day (business account). For the money, it's worth waiting for the Arc...I doubt I'll order from Levenger again - I can't justify the expense, especially with the wear and tear I put on my notebooks. My rollabind notebooks just seem to fall apart after little use.

The black letter-sized Arc disc notebook I just purchased will soon replace my Levenger saddle-colored notebook. Scrapes and pen marks make it tough to bring the Levenger one around office meetings -- or maybe I just wanted to justify a new notebook :)

The video endorsement might have been made years ago

Or it might have been a clip created from one of her program, again, years ago.

Martha Stewart has created a new line of scrapbook products, it might have disks binding systems that closely resemble Rollabind.

Rollabind habit of charging CC's and not shipping has been going on for a long time.

If someone wants to try a plastic circle binding system, a Circa sampler, a Myndology notebook (they are available at the Container Store and at some university bookstores) in the U.S or a Clairefontaine and other Atoma systems available in Europe are a much safer bet.

Martha on Rollabind...

is at least three and a half years old.
In the video, she talks about just returning from the The Golden Glow of Christmas Past convention in Columbus, Ohio.
A bit of Google-ing says the convention was in Columbus in 2007 !

And I went to marthastewart.com and typed "rollabind" in the search - and it came up empty !

A nice turn of events...

I received an email from Rollabind, apologizing for the mix-up. It left their facility this morning with a tracking number. I checked and they did send it. So, good news. I ordered it last Tuesday, not too bad.

Rollabind delivered...

two weeks from date ordered the discs arrived. Not too bad.
