Kindle and Franklin Classic Size Binder Hack

Hey all,

I got a Kindle for Christmas and want to use my Classic Size Franklin Covey 3-Ring Binder as a case. Any ideas for a hack?

Maybe Sugru

...to form some sort of corner braces?

Wow !

Never heard of sugru, but found the site - http://sugru.com/
That looks like fantastic stuff.
Is it available locally ? (you and me are sorta neighbors, geographically)

unfortunately...

It's only available by mail order (to the best of my knowledge). It is very cool stuff - in fact, I was just thinking of a spiral cord tidy last night...

OK, I can go with that.

I ordered a pack to play with.

Sugru ...

I love the look of Sugru. It inspired me to grab the RubbaWeld (electrical / hose repair?) tape and fix my planner fastening. I use blu-tac for some of the things you can use Sugru for. I would have bought Sugru if it had a shelf life longer than 6 months. Will have to order it on an as needs basis I think!

Kindle and a 3 ring binder

An idea...

Attach velco straps to the inside cover of the binder and strap your Kindle to the cover.

For extra protection your could - use a plastic divider that fits your binder and get 4 thick strips of photo matting or 4 strips of adhesive foam (or something else with a cushioning effect) to make a frame to surround the kindle. Attach the frame to the underside of the divider, so it will cover the kindle and cushion it's edges when the divider is on the rings.

P.S. if you don't want to damage the binder you could attach the velcro to a book cover or thick divider.
