| Goals and Activities | My first attempt at my own template. I have been reading Julie Morgenstern's "Time Management from the Inside Out" and liked her idea of defining spheres of my life, goals, and activities to achieve each goal. I did it by hand first, but then thought that having a typed version in my new DIY Planner would be more motivating. The PDF has two blank pages; they have left and right margins if you want to print it double-sided and punched, with room for 8 sections. The OpenOffice document has two additional pages; The second pair have text fields if you want your goals and activities typeset. Please do leave feedback, since I'm having a lot of fun with the Widget Kit. Paper size: Classic (5.5 x 8.5) Thumbnail: Usage advice: 1. Enter the various spheres of your life in the rounded rectangles; home, work, health, parenting, etc. I've allowed space for eight, which is probably too many! 2. Define a big, positive goal in the two-line box for each sphere. 3. In the triple checkboxes, decide on three actions/activities that will move you towards that goal. 4. Now, find space for each activity in your weekly/monthly pages! License: Creative Commons Language: English Applications required: Adobe Acrobat

| Jan through Apr 2011 Daily Calendar Pages - Letter Size | Daily calendar pages for January through April 2011 with columns for "Priority To Do" and "Want to Do," as well as an "Appointments" column with times (my day starts at 4:45am so the first time row is 4am). There is a small area to write in Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, and a "Notes for Today" area to put things like "Hubby out of town" or "Jane's Birthday." I just put a link to my site because I was hitting the disk quota when I tried to upload the files. Thumbnail: Usage advice: I'm sorry for the wonky margins. OpenOffice Draw (and the consequent pdf that I make from it) is pushing the entire page to the right by one-quarter inch, and I cannot figure out why. So I'm just manually adjusting for it. Paper size: Letter License: Creative Commons Applications required: Either Adobe Reader or OpenOffice Draw. I've uploaded both files. Language: English | Letter | 2010-12-15 00:47 | ||||||||||

| Weekly sign-up, one year on a sheet | A year-long calendar on two pages with one blank line per week. The Thursdays calendar highlights that particular day of the week while the 2011 weekly sign-up is generic. You could simply print it and use a marker to highlight the appropriate day of the week. Paper size: Letter Thumbnail: Usage advice: I'm using it as a sign-up sheet for a weekly co-op. But it could be used to keep track of anything that happens once a week. The link below takes you to a page where you can generate this kind of calendar for any dates you choose. License: Public Domain Language: English Applications required: PDF reader or OpenOffice

| Template for a small Addressbook | Lately I changed to a small ring bound planner in the Franklin-Covey pocket size format (3 1/2 x 6 inches; 89 x 152 mm). As for me the addressbook is a vital part of my planner, I had to bring my contacts into that ringbook. Paper size: Other Thumbnail: ![]() Usage advice: For this purpose I made a template in scribus that brings three pages on an A4 sheet. Although the start-up filling I puchased for the planner brought an A-Z-register, I decided to include tabs in the design. That way I will not carry 13 black plastic stripes containing virtually no information with me. All elements are arranged in layers, so they can easily be altered or switched off for printing. The layer ContentText has chained textboxes where the contacts have to be filled in with the story editor (of scribus). To faciliate formatting I added two paragraph styles: EntryHeadline and EntryBody. For me I set up one file for each section (AB; CD; etc.). If someone has very much contacts starting with a specific letter I suggest one individual file for that letter. It is possible to add more pages in the template by using the master-pages I defined. But then it is necessary also to add the new texboxes and to continue the chain. In fact this template can be used for any form of the specific size in a 3-up way. Some printers might be tricky in printing double sided, but this topic is covered elsewhere in this forum. License: Creative Commons Language: NA Applications required: scribus 1.3.3. | Student Success Planner | This is a simple template which I find very helpful as a student and a business owner. It's in black and white, and it was originally designed for letter or A4 sized paper - not sure how it will look on A5 or Classic. It's prioritized by Urgent vs. Important goals, and it allows you to track your progress every week in the categories of school, business, and health. You also pick an action goal for the week which you want to accomplish that week, and at the end of the week you write down what you did to accomplish that goal as a pat on the back - this is to show you past successes and keep you motivated. This can be anything - it doesn't have to be related to school or business. Mine last week was that I need to go through my fridge and clean it out, and restock with healthy food. And it got done! Mostly, I make these goals ones that I usually hate doing so that my satisfaction at accomplishing them is even higher than normal. It has timings from 8 a.m. - 12 a.m. because I know we keep long hours. I hope this helps you out and god bless in accomplishing your goals and creating your future. Paper size: Letter and A4 Thumbnail: Usage advice: I would suggest sitting down at the beginning of the week (sunday night for me)and writing down your goals for this week, along with your Big Goal, and as the week goes along, track your progress. Always separate what is urgent from what is important. The way I define it is, if it's something that will get you closer to your goals, and actually move you forward, it's important. Otherwise, it's simply urgent. You might need to do the urgent things first, but always keep your perspective about them, and don't get caught up - just get it done, then forget it! And remember that health is one of the big three - don't get so busy accomplishing that you forget that you need to be healthy to enjoy it! So good luck, and god bless! | Chaos Oasis | Due to RL concerns, Oasis underwent several revisions and was delayed by almost a year. The final version is a letter sized integrated, streamlined, adaptable Life Managment Center. Rather than hit every hour of each day, Oasis gives you space to plan the things that are important to you. Everyday life is a hectic mix of home, work, family, social obligations, and creative endevors--get Oasis and come in out of the storm. Paper size: Letter Thumbnail: ![]() Usage advice: Leave conformity behind; decide what you need to track and plan. Suddenly time conforms to your schedule-- that is Oasis. *Oasis is a perpetual calendar. Enter the starting year, day, and weekly planner start day on the main page. You can start the yearly, monthly, and weekly pages on any day of the week you choose. Traditional Sunday? Go-getter Monday? Wacky Wednesday? Oasis will automatically format the calendars for dates and day titles. *I punch holes on both the left and right sides of the Monthly and Weekly Pages after printing them front to back. Each week or Month, I insert the Monthly page on the left side of the binder and the weekly page on the right. When the week changes, I just move/flip the pages so that the month is still on the left and the week is still on the right. No more transferring, no more writing on an uncomfortable side of the page. Left handed? Reverse and put the month on the right. * I find it easiest to keep major appointments on the monthly page. *The Weekly page has 1 small and 5 large sections per day to track whatever you want. Use them for meals, subjects, social obligations, to do lists, tracking, or anything you can think of. Every week does not have to be the same. One week may be more family focused, another may be more appointment focused. Use morning noon and night headings for a more traditional feel. Track feeding times, or solve writing problems--there is no set category. It prints in 12 week increments, but you can print out as few or as many pages as you need. *The good behavior chart is gridded for small round stickers (get a book with 1000's at any dollar store.) Adapt the behavior for your child's problem areas. And remember to accentuate the positive! No Don'ts allowed. :) *I've included a basic lesson planner for home school use. This is very adaptable to homework assignments, ongoing projects, daily chores, medication usage, or other tracking/planning issues. *Household tab gives a quick integrated list of what needs to happen in each room of your house. Update it for your personal use. It also has a quick tracking reference for recurring schedules and phone numbers. *Also included is a tab of lined note pages and a tab to track birthdays, address, and phone numbers. This work is entirely my own. It is my baby and was very labor intensive; please do not sell it in any capacity. You may alter it for your personal use and you may freely redistribute it as long as you give credit.
