Feb 2010 Daily Calendar Pages - Letter size

Daily calendar pages for Feb 2010 with columns for "Priority To Do" and "Want to Do," as well as an "Appointments" column with times (my day starts at 4:45am so the first time row is 4am). There is a small area to write in Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. I'll upload March after I have used this template for awhile and see if I need to do some tweaking.

Paper size:

Usage advice:

I'm sorry for the wonky margins. OpenOffice Draw (and the consequent pdf that I make from it) is pushing the entire page to the right by one-quarter inch, and I cannot figure out why. So I'm just manually adjusting for it.

I included both the .odg and a .pdf version.

Scene Builder Form for Writers

This is a form I came up with to help me organize the hazy images of scenes that roll around in my brain. This is also good for those of us with overworked memories who mourn the scenes we've forgotten. No mourning necessary if you have them written down already!

I've already used this a time or two, and it has accomplished for me what I wanted it to. It gave me a very clear picture of a scene I had been thinking about for several days, and now I know exactly how to use it in the story.

Paper size:
Letter
Thumbnail:
Scene Builder_Page_1.jpg
Usage advice:

I used Word tables. The font is very basic, but if you have Word, of course you can change it. This is a very straightforward design, but as most of you probably know, Word tables can be temperamental. Any wobbles will be easily fixable, though.

I have also included a PDF version. I've got them on mirror margins so it's like a 2-up layout.

Scene Solvent

This one is closely related to the Problem Scene template I'll post next, but they differ in one respect. Scene Solvent is for the scene that just won't go down on paper for you.

This happens to me all the time in my writing. I'll be trucking along and writing away until I get to one tiny little scene. Usually it's a transitional scene that is supposed to bring me from one important event to another.

I'm having a horrible time with two of my novels for just this reason. I've come to a standstill. I won't call it writer's block because I know what comes later; I just don't know how to get there. I created this template in an attempt to resolve these problems.

Scene Solvent share_Page_1.jpg
Usage advice:

Again, this is using Word Tables because I'm pretty good at manipulating them. It also is formatted with mirror margins, so it gives you plenty of binding space.

I figured the best way to create this form was to ask myself questions. I've found that I get further in my writing by doing this and writing down both the question and the answer.

Apr - June 2010 Daily Calendar Pages - Letter size

Daily calendar pages for April, May and June 2010 with columns for "Priority To Do" and "Want to Do," as well as an "Appointments" column with times (my day starts at 4:45am so the first time row is 4am). There is a small area to write in Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, and a "Notes for Today" area to put things like "Hubby out of town" or "Jane's Birthday."

I’ve added some more spiritually-oriented quotes as they have personal meaning for me. But if you find that the quotes are inappropriate or don’t fit your personal belief system, then definitely download the original .odg files and put quotes in that you find more appropriate or personally meaningful.

Weekly Planner Bookmark

This is a weekly planner that doubles as a bookmark for a journal or notebook. I carry a notebook around to keep track of ideas, thought processes, and other things I do at work. This bookmark planner allows me to keep track of my current page and provides a place to jot down To Do items or meeting reminders. The included PDF is much higher quality than the thumbnail.

Paper size:
Letter
Thumbnail:

Usage advice:

It's made to be printed on a letter sized sheet and folded into three equal sections. It has space to write To Do items or whatever else for each day of the work week (Monday-Friday). It can be re-folded and used 3 or 6 times depending on whether you print it front and back. It fits nicely in a 5 1/2 x 8 notebook.

Chaos Oasis

Due to RL concerns, Oasis underwent several revisions and was delayed by almost a year. The final version is a letter sized integrated, streamlined, adaptable Life Managment Center. Rather than hit every hour of each day, Oasis gives you space to plan the things that are important to you. Everyday life is a hectic mix of home, work, family, social obligations, and creative endevors--get Oasis and come in out of the storm.

Paper size:
Letter
Thumbnail:
Untitled.jpg
Usage advice:

Leave conformity behind; decide what you need to track and plan. Suddenly time conforms to your schedule-- that is Oasis.

*Oasis is a perpetual calendar. Enter the starting year, day, and weekly planner start day on the main page. You can start the yearly, monthly, and weekly pages on any day of the week you choose. Traditional Sunday? Go-getter Monday? Wacky Wednesday? Oasis will automatically format the calendars for dates and day titles.

*I punch holes on both the left and right sides of the Monthly and Weekly Pages after printing them front to back. Each week or Month, I insert the Monthly page on the left side of the binder and the weekly page on the right. When the week changes, I just move/flip the pages so that the month is still on the left and the week is still on the right. No more transferring, no more writing on an uncomfortable side of the page. Left handed? Reverse and put the month on the right.

* I find it easiest to keep major appointments on the monthly page.

*The Weekly page has 1 small and 5 large sections per day to track whatever you want. Use them for meals, subjects, social obligations, to do lists, tracking, or anything you can think of. Every week does not have to be the same. One week may be more family focused, another may be more appointment focused. Use morning noon and night headings for a more traditional feel. Track feeding times, or solve writing problems--there is no set category. It prints in 12 week increments, but you can print out as few or as many pages as you need.

*The good behavior chart is gridded for small round stickers (get a book with 1000's at any dollar store.) Adapt the behavior for your child's problem areas. And remember to accentuate the positive! No Don'ts allowed. :)

*I've included a basic lesson planner for home school use. This is very adaptable to homework assignments, ongoing projects, daily chores, medication usage, or other tracking/planning issues.

*Household tab gives a quick integrated list of what needs to happen in each room of your house. Update it for your personal use. It also has a quick tracking reference for recurring schedules and phone numbers.

*Also included is a tab of lined note pages and a tab to track birthdays, address, and phone numbers.

This work is entirely my own. It is my baby and was very labor intensive; please do not sell it in any capacity. You may alter it for your personal use and you may freely redistribute it as long as you give credit.

Weekly sign-up, one year on a sheet

A year-long calendar on two pages with one blank line per week. The Thursdays calendar highlights that particular day of the week while the 2011 weekly sign-up is generic. You could simply print it and use a marker to highlight the appropriate day of the week.

I'm using it as a sign-up sheet for a weekly co-op. But it could be used to keep track of anything that happens once a week. The link below takes you to a page where you can generate this kind of calendar for any dates you choose.

Bill Tracker

I have a hard time keeping track of which bills I've paid and which bills are outstanding. My AHS (Any horizontal surface) method of organization can be a bit chaotic at times, and while I've never had anything shut off (That one time with the internet doesn't count, right? It was their fault after all.) there have been times when it's been a bit dicey.
So, in order to combat this tendency, I made this template to help me keep track of who/what/when/where/and how much.
It's only got a left-hand space for holes because I don't generally use the back sides of pages. I know, bad precycler. I think it would be good to stick this on a pocket page too, to hold the bills!
I'm still figuring out the widget so I'll probably upload a classic size in addition to letter, and provide a second page with the hole space on the right later.

Paper size:
Letter
Usage advice:

Gather together your bills and make a page for each. You can put the average amount you pay each month in the notes if you like. That can make it easier to budget.
Fill in the name/address/phone number/account number fields right away.
When your bill arrives each month fill in the amount due and the date due right away.
When Pay All The Bills day arrives, fill out the amount paid and the date paid fields.
Payment method allows you to state if you paid by check, internet, or phone. Confirmation number is for the confirmation number you get when you pay by phone or 'net, or the check number you used.
The notes section is helpful for when you have to call customer service and you need a space for all those ticket numbers, (In a billing spat with AT&T I discovered how helpful keeping track of that sort of thing is.) or to note any extra fees associated with the bill. Late fees, debit card fees, pay by phone fees, etc.

Usage advice:

I use this as a system to balance my life as a full-time student and full-time employee, but it can be used for either situation very easily.

These templates can be used in any order. I suggest printing everything duplex to reduce weight. In my system, I include the Budget on the back of the Calendar and make sure to print a duplex of both the Bank Register and Master To-Do List.

The Weekly To-Do Page Finder is set up to be printed duplex and cut into three equal pieces.

I will also upload this package in pieces with the a source file to edit to your needs.

All of my templates are formatted as one page per day and include monthly calendars, budget worksheets, bank registers, to-do lists, page finder (with weekly to-do list) and daily pages. Print, punch & plan! Nothing complicated.

Here's how I use it:
- Print Budget Worksheets on the back of Monthly Calendars.
- Print double sided copies of both the Bank Registers and Monthly To-Do Lists.
- Print Daily Pages duplex. If you do not have this option for your printer, you can always use the even/odd page printing option, then flip the paper to print the other pages.

For the Weekly To-Do List / Page Finder:
- Print double sided on colored card stock.
- Cut into three even pieces.
- Punch so that the top of each sheet will stick just above the rest of your planner pages.

This design features bold outlines and creative fonts to help inspire the user. Perfect for busy students!

All of my templates are formatted as one page per day and include monthly calendars, budget worksheets, bank registers, to-do lists, page finder (with weekly to-do list) and daily pages. The daily pages include a schedule, to-do list, items due and notes section. Checkbook register for younger folk
Paper size:
Letter and A4
Usage advice:

This is a US Letter-sized checkbook register for younger people to use (or those getting harder of seeing) It's pretty basic, but allows for one or two-line descriptions.

I've included both Microsoft Excel, OpenOffice.org and a pdf file in the zip file.

*EDIT*
Reynor has emailed me a portrait version of the register, so I'm including it in a separate Microsoft Excel file. So, the zip file encloses a register in landscape, and the non-zip is portrait.
